Ivan V. Pavliuk (Google)

Senior Sergeant Ivan Pavliuk (call sign Google) was killed on April 17, 2023, during a mortar and artillery bombardment near the settlement of Spirne in the Donetsk region. The warrior was forever 24 years old. Ivan was born in the village of Kordelivka, Vinnytsia region. He studied at the Faculty of History of Ivan Franko Zhytomyr State University. He obtained the qualification of a history teacher. During his studies, he met his future wife Kateryna. In 2018, in his 4th year, he transferred to a part-time form. Together with his beloved, they went on military service under contract. The lovers served in the 14th Brigade of the Ivan Bohun National Guard of Ukraine. Since 2019, they have participated in the Joint Forces Operation in Donbas. Later, Ivan and Kateryna underwent training and became instructors in combat training for the instructor's unit. With the start of the full-scale war, Ivan continued to defend Ukraine from the occupiers. In December 2022, the fighter was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree, but he did not have time to receive it during his lifetime. "A beloved, reliable, loving, cheerful, skilled, caring man, with whom we had many plans that will never come true. For his comrades-in-arms, he was an advisor, a mentor who always understood and helped in everything," said the wife of the fallen Kateryna. The hero was buried in the Alley of Glory in his native Kalynivka. At home, Ivan was awaited by his parents, wife, and two sisters.
