Ivan V. Semeniuk

Junior Sergeant Ivan Semeniuk (call sign "Beast) was killed on July 2, 2024, during an enemy mortar attack near the village of Dachne in the Donetsk region. The defender was forever 33 years old. Ivan was from the village of Viynytsya in the Rivne region. After school, he studied at Vocational School No. 14 in the village of Ivano-Frankove, where he obtained the profession of a wood carver. He often went abroad to work, working in the construction industry. He loved to spend time with his family. During the full-scale war, he voluntarily took up the defense of the Motherland. He held the position of commander of the 1st rifle platoon, 1st rifle company, 57th battalion, 104th separate territorial defense brigade. "Ivan went as a volunteer to the territorial defense from the first days of the war, and later they were sent to the Donetsk region. He was always the best dad for his son, he was a loving husband. He tried not to tell me about what was happening with them so that I wouldn't worry. When I asked him something, he said that everything was fine and calm with him. He was a responsible commander and had great respect among his comrades. Until his last days, he made plans for the future, dreamed of a daughter," said the wife of the fallen Maria. The defender was buried in his native village. Ivan is survived by his mother, wife, son, brother, sister, and nephews. Junior Sergeant Ivan Semeniuk was posthumously awarded the "Golden Cross" badge.
