- Junior Lieutenant Ivan Tynkov was killed on June 6, 2022, in the Pisky area of Donetsk region. While performing a combat mission and saving the life of a comrade, he received fatal injuries during an enemy mortar shelling. On April 18, the officer would have turned 31 years old. Ivan was from the Kyiv region. In 2012, he graduated from the Institute of International Relations of Kyiv National University named after T.H. Shevchenko, where he stuwas killed at the Faculty of International Information. He worked in the field of IT services. He was a candidate for master of sports in swimming. He was fond of American football, music, history, and religious studies. With the beginning of the large-scale war, the man joined the local TRO and took part in the defense of his native Kyiv region. After the occupants were pushed out of the Kyiv direction, the man decided to continue the fight and replenished the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 56th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade. He held the position of deputy commander of the motorized infantry company for moral and psychological support in the 21st Separate Battalion "Sarmat". "Brave, fearless, courageous and bold, he never feared obstacles. Ivan gave his life for the independence, freedom of our country, his family and child, whose birth he did not see. He was true to his military oath. In the battle for our Motherland, he showed steadfastness, heroism and courage," his wife Alexandra wrote about the deceased. At KNU, Ivan was remembered as a thoughtful, sincere and life-affirming person. His classmates considered him the most handsome guy in the stream. "Ivan with his witty comments did not let us get bored when he sat next to us in pairs. Once he told me that it would be better to go 'on business' to the French Legion. I regret that I didn't ask him then why exactly there. Because now I can't ask - he was buried as a junior lieutenant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He went as a volunteer. The Russians killed him in Donbass," said his classmate Yaroslava Prokopchenko. The officer was buried at the Rohoziv cemetery in Borispol, Kyiv region. Ivan left behind his parents Vladimir and Svetlana, his wife Alexandra, his son Anton, who never saw his father, as well as other relatives, friends and comrades.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
