- 47-year-old junior sergeant Ivan Koltsun was killed on November 29, 2022 near the village of Yakovlivka in the Donetsk region. While performing his duties at the position, he came under enemy artillery fire. He was killed from shrapnel wounds to the heart, saving the lives of his comrades. Ivan was born in Lviv. He lived in the village of Velyki Hrybovychi in the Lviv region. He graduated from a rural school. In 1992, he obtained the profession of a shoemaker at the Lviv Vocational School. From 1993 to 1995, he served in the military. He worked as a general laborer. Before the invasion, he was a loader at the "Sankom" company. In his free time, he was engaged in growing vegetables. He loved this very much. On June 8, 2022, the man was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Ivan served in the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo. He held the position of deputy commander of the combat vehicle - gunner-operator. He fought in the Luhansk, Kherson and Donetsk regions. He was a participant in the Kherson counteroffensive and battles for the city of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region. "In 19 years of our married life, my husband and I raised wonderful daughters and, working hard, built a house. My husband was a very loving, sensitive person with a keen sense of justice. He loved people, his native land and us more than life. He was very hardworking, caring, a loving father and husband who cared for me, a seriously ill person for many years," said the widow of the deceased. Ivan was buried in the village of Velyki Hrybovychi in the Lviv region. He is survived by his wife Maria and three daughters: Anastasia, Kateryna and Natalia.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
