Ivan Ya. Protsyk

Soldier Ivan Protsyk was killed in action on June 26, 2022, near the village of Vovchoyarivka in Luhansk region. During the performance of a combat task, he received injuries as a result of enemy tank and artillery shelling. The warrior was 36 years old forever. Ivan was born in the city of Pustomyty, Lviv region. In 2004, he graduated from the Lviv Higher Professional School, majoring in assistant locomotive engineer. In 2010, he graduated from the National University "Lviv Polytechnic" with a degree in Management. He got married and moved to the village of Shchyrets. He worked at the LLC "Technological Experimental Plant". He was well-versed in computers and technology, and relatives often turned to him for help with repairs and settings. He was fond of cars, loved to listen to music, and spent all his free time with his family. From the first days of the full-scale war, the man served in the Pustomyty city guard company. In May, he became a fighter of the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Daniel. He took the position of senior shooter and went to defend Luhansk region. During his service, he was awarded the Order of the Cross of the Hero from the 24th OMB, and posthumously - the Order for Courage of the III degree. "The best husband in the world and a caring father. He took great care of the children, worried about their future. Every time he called home, he first asked about all relatives. He was very kind, intelligent, sincere, loving, reasonable, and always knew how to support and comfort. Very responsible, he always conscientiously performed any work. We lost the dearest, the meaning of our life. I am very grateful for the happy years. In our hearts, warm and painful memories of our Hero will remain forever!", - said the wife of the deceased fighter Tetyana. The defender was buried in the village of Shchyrets, Lviv region. At home, Ivan was waiting for his parents, sister, wife, two daughters, relatives, and friends.
