Ivan Yu. Ipatii

32-year-old soldier Ivan Ipatyi was killed on September 21, 2022, in battles with the occupiers in the area of the village of Shakhtarske in Donetsk region. Ivan was originally from Chernivtsi region. He graduated from Lukavetsky General Secondary Education Institution. In 2014, he was mobilized into a reserve unit. After training as part of one of the combat units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, he went to Donbas. He participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation near the city of Shchastya and near Donetsk airport. He held the status of a combatant. In civilian life, he lived in the village of Karapyshi in Kyiv region. From the first days of the full-scale Russian invasion, Ivan joined the ranks of the volunteer formation of the Myronivka territorial community. In the spring, he joined the 23rd Separate Rifle Battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and went to the front again. "Forever 32... Forever a faithful friend... Forever a dear son... Forever the best father to two children... But unfortunately, he could not live to see Victory... We extend our sincere condolences to his wife, children, mother, and father, who is also currently defending Ukraine. We sympathize with all relatives and loved ones," the Myronivka community wrote on their page. "Eternal memory to you, our dear one, words are lacking, the heart is torn with pain..." wrote teacher Halka Melensko Andryuk. The defender was buried in the village of Lukavets in Chernivtsi region. Ivan is survived by his parents, wife, and two children.
