Kostiantyn A. Karvatskyi (Kypysh)

33-year-old soldier Kostiantyn Karvatskyi (call sign Kipish) was killed on April 14, 2023 near Bakhmut in Donetsk region. While carrying out a combat mission, the warrior was wounded during enemy artillery shelling. He was then killed by a Russian sniper while already wounded.Kostiantyn was from Dnipropetrovsk region. In 2011, he graduated from Dnipro State Agrarian and Economic University. He lived in Vilnohirsk. He worked as a chief agronomist at the "Agrotsentr K" company. In 2015-2016, he participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation in Donbas. During the full-scale Russian invasion, Kostiantyn again joined the defense of Ukraine in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 17th Separate Tank Brigade as a sniper. "My brother was very positive, dedicated to his work. He fought for the freedom of our country since the times of the Anti-Terrorist Operation. He said he would return from the war only with victory! Kipish was not only his call sign, but also his way of life," said the deceased's cousin Yulia. "He will forever remain in our memory as a courageous defender, a fearless warrior, a great patriot of Ukraine... Eternal memory to the Hero who gave his life for Ukraine," added the Kamyanska community. Kostiantyn was buried in his native village. He is survived by his parents, brother, wife, daughter, son, relatives and friends.
