Kostiantyn A. Shapovalov (Kos)

Senior soldier Kostiantyn Shapovalov (call sign Kos) was killed on February 10, 2024 near the city of Avdiivka in Donetsk region. During the assault on the city, he was shot by an enemy sniper. The warrior was 42 years old. Kostiantyn was from the city of Zaporizhzhia. He graduated from the Zaporizhzhia Trade College. He worked as a senior appliance salesman and manager in the Yabloki network. In his free time, he loved fishing and ran a YouTube channel with a thematic blog. He was a fan of FC Metalurh (Zaporizhzhia). During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man became a fighter of the 3rd separate assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of commander of the combat vehicle of the assault squad. He was awarded the honorary badge "Cross of the Brave". "Kostiantyn was a very devoted man, friend, son and brother! The most gentle dad! He was an example of a real man! Very courageous and brave! A true patriot! From the first days he stood up to defend Ukraine! He was very reliable, honest, principled! A man of his word!" - his wife Olena said. The assault trooper was buried in the cemetery of St. Nicholas in his hometown. At home, Kostiantyn was awaited by his wife and four daughters.
