Kostiantyn M. Dovhyi (Yuryst)

Born on January 6, 1976, in the village of Yaltushkiv, Bar district, Vinnytsia region, in a family of teachers. In 1994, he graduated with honors from the general education school of the village of Yaltushkiv, then graduated with honors from the National Law Academy of Ukraine named after Yaroslav the Wise (Kharkiv). During his school years, he became a prizewinner of the all-Ukrainian Olympiad in law.$He lived in the city of Khmelnytskyi. He worked in the internal affairs bodies of the city of Khmelnytskyi: first as an assistant to the head of the State Automobile Inspectorate (DAI) regiment, then as an investigator in the investigative department. He was discharged with the rank of captain of the militia. Recently, he worked as a lawyer at the "Kation" factory in Khmelnytskyi.$As a volunteer, he joined the ranks of the Volunteer Ukrainian Corps "Right Sector," where he became a fighter in the reconnaissance and sabotage group of the 7th separate battalion. Call sign "Lawyer".$Since February 2015, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine.$On July 18, 2015, the reconnaissance and sabotage group, which included fighter Dovhyi, came under mortar fire from terrorists while carrying out a combat mission near the urban-type settlement of Verkhnotoretske in the Yasynuvata district of Donetsk region. One of the unit's fighters was concussed. Kostiantyn Dovhyi stayed behind to cover the retreat of his comrades and the evacuation of the wounded. During the subsequent battle, an enemy mine exploded near fighter Dovhyi, resulting in his death.$On July 25, 2015, he was buried in the cemetery of the village of Yaltushkiv, Bar district, Vinnytsia region.
