Kostiantyn O. Kuzmenko

Kuzmenko Kostyantyn Olegovych was born in 1985 in the city of Kramatorsk, and later moved with his family to the city of Sloviansk in the Donetsk region. In the 2010s, he worked on the railway as a locomotive driver, operating freight train locomotives. In 2014, in occupied Sloviansk, "ferocious and drunken invading soldiers looted shops, destroyed shopping centers and car dealerships, seized administrative buildings...". Therefore, after the liberation of the city in 2014, Kostyantyn seized the first opportunity to defend Ukraine as part of the 30th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Kostyantyn Ostrozhsky. He held the position of machine gunner, and later, due to his professionalism and demands, he was appointed senior technician of the company. He was involved in the repair of weapons and any equipment that malfunctioned during combat operations. He was a first-class specialist, a technical expert, and consulted his comrades on the repair and maintenance of equipment. He was often approached for professional advice. He was killed on March 25, 2022, in battles with Russian occupiers.
