Kostiantyn O. Nizitskyi

Sergeant Kostiantyn Nizitskyi was killed on April 30, 2024 near the village of Netailove in the Donetsk region. In an uneven battle, repelling the enemy's assault on the position, he suffered a fatal explosive injury. The warrior remained forever 50 years old. Kostiantyn was born in the village of Vinnytski Khutory, Vinnytsia region. He grew up in a large family, where, in addition to him, there were a brother and five sisters. He did not have the opportunity to obtain a higher education, so immediately after finishing the local school, he got a job. Then he served his conscription in the army. His career path was closely connected with Vinnytsia, where he worked at many enterprises. He loved to work with his hands, especially in the carpentry and furniture sectors. They always said about him that he was a jack-of-all-trades. In his free time, he loved to fish, relax in nature and make something at home. In 2015-2016, he took part in the Anti-Terrorist Operation. During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man again became a fighter of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He fought in the ranks of the 59th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Yakov Handziuk. Kostiantyn received the following awards: "For Service to the State", "Patriot of the Fatherland", "Duty Performed with Honor". "My dad was courageous and devoted to his Homeland, he was always kind and helped others. He was a good man, comrade, father, brother and son. He confronted the enemy in the ATO zone in 2015-2016. Then he went through battles almost throughout the Luhansk region. And on February 24, 2022, he returned to the army again. He took part in the de-occupation of the Mykolaiv and Kherson regions. Together with his comrades-in-arms, he defended the Donetsk region in the Avdiivka direction. In the winter of 2023, he received serious injuries, and after treatment, he returned to the ranks. I am very proud of him and want to honor his memory!" - shared Oleksandra Nizitska. The hero was buried in his native village. Kostiantyn is survived by his wife Taisa, son Oleksii and daughter Oleksandra.
