Kostiantyn O. Serhiienko

Born on March 9, 1978, in the city of Shostka, Sumy region. Graduated from general education school No. 9 in Shostka, then from vocational technical school No. 42 in the urban-type settlement of Voronizh (since 2009, it has been part of the Shostka Center for Vocational and Technical Education, city of Shostka). From 2002, he worked as a locksmith in the boiler-turbine shop of the municipal enterprise "Shostka CHPP" in the city of Shostka. From 2014 to 2016, he served in the military under partial mobilization in the 2nd regiment of protection of especially important state objects of the National Guard of Ukraine (military unit 3022, city of Shostka, Sumy region) and in the border service department "Seredyna-Buda" of the Sumy border detachment of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine (military unit 9953, city of Seredyna-Buda, Sumy region). Since the fall of 2016, he served under contract in the 13th separate motorized infantry battalion of the 58th separate motorized infantry brigade of the Operational Command "North" of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A4427 (field post V2278), urban-type settlement Voronizh, Shostka district, Sumy region). Since the summer of 2017, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On September 6, 2017, Senior Soldier Serhiyenko was killed while performing military duty near the urban-type settlement of Novotoshkivske in the Popasna district of Luhansk region. On September 9, 2017, he was buried in the cemetery of the Sadovy microdistrict in the city of Shostka.
