Kostiantyn S. Pikhotin (Pikhota)

Senior soldier Konstantin Pikhotin was killed on August 19, 2022, in battle with the occupiers in the Bakhmut direction of Donetsk region. The defender was 24 years old forever. Konstantin was born in the city of Myrnohrad, Donetsk region. He stu at the local school No. 9. Then he graduated from the Selydiv Mining Technical School. Later, he worked at the Pokrovskoye mine management. During the large-scale Russian invasion, the man stood up to defend his native lands and his country, replenishing the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 24th Separate Assault Battalion "Aidar" of the 53rd Separate Mechanized Brigade. He fought on the eastern front. "Young, beautiful, smart guys are dying. And they would live and live, love, have children, change their lives for the better... The memory of the feat of our fellow countryman and his courage during the performance of his military duty to Ukraine will forever live in our hearts! Eternal glory and bright memory!", noted in the Myrnohrad City Military Administration. Konstantin was buried in the Alley of Glory of the "Ozerka" cemetery in his hometown. The defender left behind his parents, relatives, friends and comrades. Posthumously, the warrior was awarded the Order "For Courage" III degree.
