Kostiantyn V. Pikalov (Kot)

Senior soldier Kostiantyn Pikalov (call sign Cat) was killed on November 1, 2022, in battle with the occupiers near the city of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region. The defender was 44 years old. Kostiantyn was from the city of Dnipro. He studied at school No. 17. In 1997, he graduated from the Dnipropetrovsk Machine-Building College with a degree in "Technical Maintenance of CNC Machines and Robotic Complexes". He then served in the National Guard of Ukraine. In 2003, he received a bachelor's degree from the Ukrainian State University of Chemical Technology in the specialty "Enterprise Economics". For some time, he worked as a security guard. In August 2022, he got a job as an electrician at the Dniprovskyi Electrotransport municipal enterprise. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing. On August 26, 2022, the man was drafted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 53rd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Volodymyr Monomakh. He was a scout and fought in the eastern direction. "This is the best person in the world. My love..." - wrote the wife of the fallen Olha. The warrior was buried in his hometown. At home, he was awaited by his mother, wife, son, and daughter. Kostiantyn was posthumously awarded the "Defender of the Fatherland" distinction.
