Kostiantyn V. Svitelskyi (Kot)

43-year-old soldier Kostiantyn Svitelskyi (call sign Kot) was killed on December 28, 2023 in the area of the village of Vesele in the Donetsk region. While carrying out a combat mission, he came under artillery fire and received fatal injuries. Kostiantyn was born in the city of Malyn, Zhytomyr region. He obtained a secondary education. In civilian life, he worked with wood - he was engaged in the manufacture of furniture. His last place of work was the company "ViYar". In his free time, he loved to fish. During the full-scale war, the man fought in the ranks of the National Guard of Ukraine. He was a sniper in the 21st separate special purpose battalion. For his service, he was awarded the distinctions "For Courage" and "Golden Cross". "You will remain in memory as a true hero who gave his life for a free and independent country. May your courage and self-sacrifice always be in the hearts of those who knew you. Our Hero, our Kostya! You were seen off by hundreds of people, although you were worth the world," wrote the deceased's nephew Vladyslav Svitelskyi. The National Guard soldier was buried in the Alley of Heroes of the cemetery in his hometown. Kostiantyn is survived by his wife, two daughters, brother and nephews.
