Kostiantyn Yu. Foshchanko (Bomba)

Soldier Kostiantyn Foshchanka (call sign Bomba) was killed on August 24, 2023 near the village of Synkivka in the Kharkiv region. While carrying out a combat mission, he received fatal injuries during an enemy artillery barrage. The warrior turned 28 years old in July. Kostiantyn was born in the village of Ostriiky in the Kyiv region. He obtained a secondary education. He worked in various fields. He lived in the capital. Before the war, he was a barista in a cafe. He loved his country very much and always dreamed that Ukraine would be free and independent. During the full-scale invasion, the man unhesitatingly took up the defense of Ukraine against the Russian invaders. Kostiantyn joined the ranks of volunteers and went to the front. He served in the mortar platoon of the "Honor" company of the "Wolves Da Vinci" battalion of the 67th separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. "Kostya was a very kind and open guy, with a big heart and a pure soul. A volunteer. He found his pack of "wolves" ("Wolves Da Vinci) and was with them until the last day. He believed in victory. He proved his life position not in words, but in deeds, took an active part in the Revolution of Dignity," his sister Olha Kuzmenko said. The defender was buried in his native village. Kostiantyn is survived by his parents, brother, other relatives, friends and comrades-in-arms.
