Kyrylo I. Andreiakhin

Senior soldier Kyrylo Andreiakhin (call sign Inhul) was killed on May 15, 2024, while carrying out a combat mission near the settlement of Ocheretyne in the Donetsk region. The defender was 47 years old. Kyrylo was born in the Dnipropetrovsk region. He graduated from the Inhulets Vocational College and obtained the specialty of mining technician, electromechanic. In peacetime, he worked as a driver for a while, and from 2011 he was a rubber products presser at a private enterprise. He loved to play backgammon and adored spending time with his children. During the full-scale Russian invasion, in November 2022, the man voluntarily joined the army. He defended the Motherland in the ranks of the 111th separate brigade of the territorial defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of a rifleman. "Kyrylo was the best and most loving husband and father. He adored his children and was always trying to protect his family. He was a true friend, someone you could rely on. He protected us, he was a reliable support for me. It's very hard without him... It's impossible to come to terms with the fact that he's gone. This is a heavy loss for our family," his wife Anna said. The defender was buried in the Alley of Glory of the cemetery in the village of Shyroka Dacha. At home, Kyrylo was awaited by his wife, son, daughter, other relatives and friends. The military man was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.
