Kyrylo I. Prokhorov

24-year-old soldier Kyrylo Prokhorov was killed on November 2, 2022, while performing a combat mission in Donetsk region. Near the village of Terny, the fighter sustained a fatal mine-explosive injury. Kyrylo was born in the town of Ripky, Chernihiv region. He studied at the local school No. 2 and later graduated from the Chernihiv Construction College. He served his conscription in the army from 2018 to 2022. During the full-scale war, Kyrylo defended Ukraine as part of the 25th Separate Airborne Assault Sicheslav Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. "I will love you all my life, my Hero," noted his mother, Nina. "Eternal and bright memory to you, Kyrylo! Sincere condolences to the hero's mother Nina and grandmother! Heroes do not die! They simply stop being nearby. They fly away… Quietly and without saying goodbye. Perhaps because they did not intend to die. They had plans, wanted to love, have children, learn, work, and enjoy life. It was not meant to be… They become stars in the sky. Guardian angels," wrote Vera Oseiko. The defender was buried in his hometown in Chernihiv region. Kyrylo is survived only by his mother.
