Kyrylo M. Demydov (Sonik)

24-year-old intelligence officer Kyrylo Demydov (call sign Sonic) was killed on August 6, 2023, in the area of the village of Pidstepne in the Kherson region. While carrying out a combat mission, the defender was blown up by an enemy mine. Kyrylo was born and lived in Kyiv. From a young age, he showed his love for Ukraine, helped at school, and was always a leader. He received higher education at the National Transport University. He was passionate about cars and engaged in karting. He worked as a hookah maker in various establishments in the capital. During the full-scale Russian invasion in 2022, the man went to the front lines. He fought in the ranks of the special forces unit of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense "Shaman". "My brother was an extraordinarily kind, positive, and fair person. Kyrylo was a true warrior, a patriot of his country, and a reliable comrade. He wanted to make it so that children would not know what war is! Kyrylo was the mainstay of the family. He loved his family and loved ones very much! For him, we were his universe! Everyone will remember him as a man of his word with an incredible smile," said the deceased's younger sister, Maria. The warrior was buried in the Alley of Heroes of the Berkovetsky cemetery in the capital. Kyrylo is survived by his mother, sister, and beloved girlfriend.
