- Soldier Kyrylo Manzhay (call sign Manich) was killed on March 17, 2022 in a fierce battle with the occupiers near the town of Marinka in the Donetsk region. The defender was forever 23 years old. Kyrylo was born and lived in the city of Rubizhne, Luhansk region. After school, he obtained the profession of an electrician at the Rubizhne Polytechnic College named after Oleksandr Porai-Koshytsia. He worked at the city's cardboard and packaging plant. In his free time, he loved to play football and walk with his many friends. He cared for his family, often giving flowers to his mother and making gifts to his brothers. During the full-scale war, Kyrylo defended his native lands from the occupiers in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a serviceman of the 54th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Hetman Ivan Mazepa. He held the position of a grenadier. Together with his comrades-in-arms, he defended Marinka, where he accepted his last battle. "They say time heals, but this pain and loss will never be cured by anything... Every day and every night I think about him. He had always dreamed of being a soldier. He was a very responsible and kind person, a loyal friend to his friends. His friend, who is now at war, says that Kyrylo is now his guardian angel. For me, he was my whole life. He was an example for his younger brothers, who are 8 and 10 years old, they are still waiting for him. He always said: 'Everything will be fine, I'm a lucky one.' He is forever in my heart. My support," said the mother of the fallen soldier, Natalia Riabchenko. Kyrylo was buried at the Krasnopilskyi cemetery in Dnipro. The warrior left behind his parents, cousins, relatives, friends and comrades-in-arms.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
