Kyrylo O. Silin (Silver)

24-year-old soldier Kyrylo Silin (call sign Silver) was killed on March 15, 2024 near the settlement of Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region. During the execution of a combat mission, he received fatal injuries as a result of the enemy dropping an explosive device from a UAV. Kyrylo was born and lived in Zaporizhzhia. He graduated from the Zaporizhzhia Hydrotechnical College and obtained an education in the specialty "Management and Stock Exchange Activities". He later studied at the Zaporizhzhia National University. He also worked at "Nova Poshta" in parallel and was seriously engaged in computer programming. During the full-scale war, Kyrylo became a fighter of the National Guard of Ukraine. He defended his native country in the ranks of the 12th Special Operations Brigade "Azov". He held the position of driver-operator of the 2nd crew of special purpose reconnaissance-strike unmanned aerial systems. "Kyrylo was purposeful and responsible. Sincere and friendly in his relationships with others. He loved his family very much and had many friends. Kyrylo's life was short but bright," said his mother Yaroslava Hennadiivna. The hero was buried in his hometown. Kyrylo is survived by his mother and two brothers.
