Kyrylo V. Moroz

25-year-old soldier Kirill Moroz killed in action near the village of Shylova Balka in the Kherson region on the second day of the full-scale war, covering his comrades. Kirill was a Kyiv resident. He loved football and hockey, which he practiced systematically, and was a good student. He entered the law faculty of the National Academy of Internal Affairs. He worked for "Nova Poshta" for a while. Later, he took academic leave and voluntarily signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 80th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade and participated in the war in eastern Ukraine. He planned to marry his beloved girlfriend and build a future together. Kirill tried his hand at various sports. He was cheerful, friendly, and fair. His friends were always his top priority. He was a good student and was proactive, quickly grasping new information, his colleagues from the company where he worked said. In the army, he underwent various trainings, received additional specialization in "Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Management", and began to lead a small unit of UAV pilots. He was an exemplary soldier: he received thanks and certificates, and his superiors and colleagues spoke highly of him. Before the full-scale invasion, Kirill was on exercises in the Mykolaiv region. He and his comrades were immediately transferred to the Kherson direction to stop the enemy's advance near the city of Nova Kakhovka. Kirill was buried at the Lychakiv Cemetery in Lviv. Posthumously awarded the title "Hero of Ukraine".
