Kyrylo Yu. Burmahin (Khersonets)

Junior Sergeant Kyrylo Burmahiin (call sign Khersonets) was killed on November 10, 2023, in the territory of the Serebrianskyi Forestry, near the settlement of Dibrova in the Luhansk region. He sustained fatal injuries during the assault on enemy positions. The warrior remained forever 21 years old. Kyrylo was born in the village of Fedorivka, Kherson region. In 2019, he graduated from the Kherson Lyceum. He then studied at the Faculty of Chemistry of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. He dreamed of connecting his future with the chemical industry, which he began to do at the chemical industrial enterprise LLC "NVP "Ukrorgsyntez". When the full-scale war began, the young man was studying in his 3rd year. Later, he decided to take an academic leave and in September 2022 he joined the army. He served in the 12th Special Purpose Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine "Azov". He was a senior gunner and a combat medic. He carried out combat missions in the Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Luhansk regions. "Kyrylo was a courageous patriot of Ukraine, without hesitation he stood up to defend the Motherland. He always showed courage, perseverance, and initiative in difficult situations, no one saw fear in his eyes, only a desire for victory. According to his comrades-in-arms, he fought the enemy like a tiger," said the warrior's mother, Maryna Oleksandrivna. Kyrylo was buried in Zaporizhzhia. The defender left behind a mother. Kyrylo was an only child. The young "Azov" member was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.
