  A citizen of the Kingdom of Sweden, Leo voluntarily joined the ranks of the special purpose police patrol service unit "Azov" at the end of summer 2014. He served as a combat training instructor. According to his comrades, he submitted documents to acquire Ukrainian citizenship.
