Leonid F. Kravchenko (Amstel)

45-year-old soldier Leonid Kravchenko (call sign Amstel) was killed on July 27, 2022 near the village of Bilohorka in the Kherson region. During the performance of a combat mission, he received fatal injuries as a result of artillery shelling. Leonid was born in the village of Kvitnevе in the Zhytomyr region. He graduated from the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University. He was the village head of the Kvitnevе village council. He led a healthy lifestyle, played sports, and played football on the local team. During the full-scale war, the man fought for Ukraine in the ranks of the 46th separate air assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of gunner. "My husband was a patriot, a lover of truth, he hated corruption in all its manifestations. He repeatedly recorded the facts of illegal logging. He convened commissions to inspect the areas," said Natalia Marchinska. Leonid was buried in his native village. He left behind a mother, wife, son, daughter, and two brothers. The paratrooper was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.
