Leonid M. Iskat (Skat)

Soldier Leonid Iskat (call sign Skat) was killed on December 13, 2023 while defending his Homeland in the area of the village of Klishchiyivka in the Donetsk region. The defender was 28 years old. Leonid was born in the village of Chumaky, Dnipropetrovsk region. He lived with his family in the city of Zaporizhzhia. By profession, he was an electrician. He worked at the companies "Motor Sich" and "Aviabuilding Commonwealth". During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man fought for his country in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 80th separate air assault brigade. He was a spotter of the reconnaissance platoon of the reconnaissance company. During his service, he received a distinction - the badge "For Personal Bravery". "Leonid was a good son, brother, uncle and a true friend to many. And he will remain so in our memory forever. We have a very young son left, he was only 1 year and 8 months old when his father was killed. Unfortunately, he did not see half of his life and will never see him again. I am proud of my husband, and our son will always remember that his father is a true Hero and that he was killed fighting for his free and dignified future," wrote the wife of the fallen paratrooper, Marina. The paratrooper was buried in Zaporizhzhia. At home, Leonid was awaited by his wife, son, loving relatives and friends.
