- Sergeant Leonid Kleshko was killed on April 29, 2022 between the villages of Novoselyvka Druga and Vasylivka in the Donetsk region. While carrying out a combat mission, the defender came under enemy mortar fire. He was 40 years old. Leonid was born in the village of Kurylivka, Vinnytsia region. He stuwas killed at the Porytsk Secondary School. In 2002, he graduated from the Bar Automobile and Road Technical School, where he obtained the qualification of a mechanic technician. In 2009, he obtained a higher education degree as an electromechanical engineer at the Kharkiv National Academy of Municipal Economy. From 2004 to 2015, he served in the internal affairs bodies. Then he worked for a year in the National Police. Since 2018, he has held the position of head of the measurement diagnostic laboratory at Zakhidstandart Sistema LLC. He lived in Boryspil, Kyiv region. He was passionate about construction, building a house for himself and his family, and spent all his free time on this. He loved nature and animals, as well as repairing cars. During the full-scale war, Leonid said he could not just sit and watch, that he had to be there and protect his loved ones. In March, he joined the ranks of the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade to defend Ukraine. He was the commander of a platoon of the radiation, chemical and biological reconnaissance squad. "Leonid was a wonderful man and the father of two children. We loved each other very much. We lived in marriage for 15 wonderful happy years, in love and mutual understanding. We had two wonderful beloved children: Tanya and Nazar. We raised them together in love, helped and supported each other. He was a strong support and support for me. He was very kind, sensitive, cheerful, ready to help everyone who turned to him. He loved life very much and had big plans for the future," said the defender's wife Olga. Leonid was buried in his native village in Vinnytsia region. His mother Lyudmyla Stanislavivna, sister Zoya, wife Olga, daughter Tetyana and son Nazar did not wait for their defender to return from the war.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
