Leonid V. Pruss (Tokar)

Sapper Leonid Pruss (call sign Tokar) was killed on August 29, 2022, while performing a combat mission in the area of the village of Olhyne in the Kherson region. The soldier came under enemy mortar fire. The defender was 31 years old. Leonid was born in the city of Taboshar (Tajikistan). When he was one year old, he moved with his parents to Kryvyi Rih in the Dnipropetrovsk region. He graduated from the Interregional Center for Training and Retraining of Military Personnel, obtaining the profession of a turner and a locksmith for car repairs. Since 2012, he worked as a turner at the Southern Mining and Processing Plant. He dedicated his free time to his beloved wife and son. During the full-scale Russian invasion, Leonid took up arms to defend Ukraine. He served in the engineering and sapper unit of the 96th battalion of the 60th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a sapper.
