Leonid Yu. Nazarenko (Nazarenko)

Junior Sergeant Leonid Nazarenko (call sign Nazarenko) sustained serious injuries on November 8, 2022 during the performance of a combat mission near Bakhmut in the Donetsk region. Doctors fought for his life for a month, but they were unable to save the warrior. Leonid was 35 years old. He was born in the town of Yemilchyne, Zhytomyr region. He obtained a full secondary education. Later, he worked at PJSC "Fundament" in Kyiv. He loved to spend his free time with children and do household chores. During the full-scale war, he joined the ranks of the 25th Separate Airborne Brigade. He held the positions of combat vehicle commander and squad commander. He was awarded the badge "For Exemplary Service". "He was a wonderful person, a caring father. We love and remember him," wrote his wife Aliona. Leonid was buried in the cemetery of his native town. The defender left behind a mother, wife, daughter, and son.
