- Artilleryman Lyubomyr Tazayev (call sign Sapog) was killed on April 24, 2022, while performing a combat mission near the village of Katerynivka in Luhansk region. As a result of shelling, the soldier sustained shrapnel wounds and died from blood loss. At the beginning of April, he turned 37 years old. Lyubomyr was born and lived in Lviv. After school, he studied at the Lviv Vocational College of Household Services. He then worked at a shoe manufacturing company. In 2014-2015, he participated in the ATO. For the last 5 years, he officially worked at a construction company in Poland. When the full-scale war began, the man was abroad. He immediately resigned and went home. He went to the military enlistment office to rejoin the Armed Forces of Ukraine and defend Ukraine from the occupiers. He joined his native 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Daniel. Together with his unit, he fought in Luhansk region. “With great sorrow, pain, and tears in my eyes, I write a memory of you, dear godfather Lyubik. You were extremely kind, sensitive, brave, selfless, the best friend, and a true patriot of Ukraine. How I long to hear your voice again, to be with you again at the festive table, and to see your sincere smile. You were always very modest and humane. You never refused anyone in need of help. You loved your mother very much and were always her greatest support and support. You were her pride, joy, and universe. You loved your daughter, your goddaughter Anna, as your own. You loved animals, and they loved you and found you even on the front lines. You loved your family very much, and you were their biggest favorite. You loved life, knew how to live, and lived it with dignity. You loved Ukraine, and that is why you gave your life for it. You will forever remain in our hearts, thoughts, and memories. Eternal memory to you, our Lyubik. Glory to the Hero,” wrote the godmother of the fallen, Nadiya. The defender was buried at Lychakiv Cemetery in Lviv. Lyubomyr is survived by his mother, a brother with his family, relatives, and friends. Posthumously, soldier Lyubomyr Tazayev was awarded the Order of Courage III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
