Liubomyr M. Karpiuk

Paratrooper Liubomyr Karpyuk was killed on November 7, 2022, while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region. The warrior was 31 years old. Liubomyr was born in the village of Kniazhdir, Ivano-Frankivsk region. He stuwas killed at the Ivano-Frankivsk College of Physical Education. In civilian life, he worked as a mountaineer. In his free time, he loved to play football. From the first days of the full-scale invasion, Liubomyr joined the ranks of the Territorial Defense Forces. Later, he became a fighter of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of anti-aircraft gunner in the 81st separate airmobile brigade. "He was a smiling and cheerful person, a loving father and son. Liubomyr was kind, sincere, and always smiling. His daughter still believes that her father is somewhere nearby and is protecting her, even on the darkest evenings and brightest mornings, she writes to her father in 'Signal' how much she misses him and cannot wait for him to write back. But that day will never come, the messages and calls from the father have been silenced forever. And the son will not even remember his father alive. Tears and sadness envelop the heart," the deceased's relatives said. The soldier was buried in his native village. Liubomyr is survived by his parents, sister, daughter, and son, whom he managed to see only a few times.
