- Soldier Lyubomyr Shevchuk (call sign Sheva) was killed on July 17, 2022, while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Verkhnokamyanske in the Donetsk region. The defender was 40 years old. Lyubomyr was born and lived in Chernivtsi. He obtained a higher legal education at the Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University. He worked in his specialty. He was married and raised two children. He is remembered as a bright and always positive person. In his free time, he loved to fish and be in nature. During the full-scale war, the man joined the ranks of the airborne assault troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He became a fighter of the 80th separate airborne assault brigade. "Lyubomyr had many friends, lived amicably with everyone, and was afraid to offend someone. It was not in vain that they said that his name was such... He was a true patriot. Since 2014, he has been very hurt for the country. On February 24, 2022, without hesitation and without combat experience, he went to the military registration and enlistment office. He said that his children should live in a free country: 'If I don't go, how will I then look my children in the eye?'. 'I loved you all, but I loved Ukraine the most, perhaps this is my greatest guilt.' He loved this song, which turned out to be prophetic," said the widow of the deceased, Svitlana. "The administration of the Kalinovsky Market municipal enterprise expresses its condolences, despair and pain over the death of our colleague - a true patriot, an honest person, a qualified employee, a beloved friend, a beloved husband, father and son Lyubomyr Shevchuk. There are no words that could ease the pain of loss, there are no appropriate phrases. We deeply mourn together with the hero's family! The memory of him will live forever in our hearts, our gratitude is boundless, and his courage will be an example for future generati ons," Lyubomyr's colleagues said. The serviceman was buried in the central cemetery in the village of Godyliv, Chernivtsi region. Lyubomyr is survived by his parents, brother, wife, son, daughter and friends.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
