Maksym A. Bohun

23-year-old serviceman Maxim Bohun was killed on May 8, 2022, in the Odesa region during an enemy missile strike. Maxim was born in the village of Mala Oleksandrivka in the Kherson region. He graduated from the Faculty of Spectacle and Theatrical Events at the Kherson Culture College. He acted in an amateur theater, took photographs, composed music, recorded songs, and played many musical instruments. Almost immediately after graduating from college, he decided to enlist in the military under contract, despite having great prospects in creative fields. He carried out combat missions in the Joint Forces Operation area. With the onset of the full-scale invasion, he was defending Ukraine from the very first days. He served in one of the air defense units. "Maxim was brave, courageous, and at the same time an incredibly talented artist. This guy left the brightest mark in the hearts of all who knew him. Even six months after our loss, we cannot come to terms with the fact that this ray of sunshine will no longer shine for us. He associated himself with the Little Prince because he saw what is elusive to the eye of an average person. He saw light in everyone, was kind-hearted, and caring," said his friend Oleksandra. The defender was buried in the village of Hvardiyske in the Odesa region. At home, his parents, three brothers, and a sister were waiting for him.
