Maksym A. Dzhabrailov (Dzhabik)

20-year-old Senior Sergeant Maksym Dzhabrilov (call sign Dzhabik) died on December 8, 2023, in the area of the village of Berestove in the Donetsk region. While performing his duties, he suffered fatal injuries during an enemy artillery barrage. Maksym was born in the city of Mukachevo in the Zakarpattia region. In childhood, he moved with his family to the village of Zahattia. There he finished secondary school. In his free time, he loved listening to music and watching movies. After completing his secondary education, he joined the army. During the full-scale war, Maksym fought for his native country in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade "Edelweiss". He held the position of operator-radio operator of the reconnaissance company's observation. During his service, he was awarded the decoration of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine "Golden Cross". "He was a good, sensitive, and fair man. He always came to help everyone, rescued in a difficult moment, supported when a person needed it. He never did anything bad to anyone, but if someone did something bad to him, he said that he was above it and would respond with good," said the wife of the deceased, Yulia. The defender was buried in the village of Zahattia in Zakarpattia. At home, Maksym was awaited by his wife, father-in-law, and mother-in-law.
