Maksym A. Khalymonenko

Soldier Maksym Khalymonenko was killed on August 1, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission near the city of Avdiivka in the Donetsk region as a result of enemy small arms fire. The defender was 38 years old. Maksym was born and lived in the village of Liplyave, Cherkasy region. He graduated from the Bobrytsya Vocational and Technical School. In 2003-2004, he served on the legendary minesweeper "Cherkasy". During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, seeking to protect his native lands from the occupiers. He served in the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Major General Marko Bezruchko. "Maksym was a kind, loving son, a good and reliable friend. He always said: 'Who, if not me?' - said the mother of the deceased, Inna Anatoliivna. "Faithful to the military oath, in the battle for our Motherland, showing steadfastness and courage, our defender - a resident of our community from the village of Liplyave, Maksym Khalymonenko, was killed. Now he is in the Heavenly Army and will hold the peaceful sky. Our Hero gave his life for the morning sun and the Ukrainian sky above us," the Liplyave community noted. The serviceman was buried in his native village in the Cherkasy region. At home, Maksym was awaited by his mother and other relatives.
