Maksym A. Simdianov (Khomiak)

Senior soldier Maksym Simdianov (call sign Khomyak) was killed on August 19, 2022, in a battle with the occupiers near the village of Oleksandrivka in the Kherson region. The defender was 25 years old. Maksym was born in Kozin village, Volyn region. After completing his secondary education, he worked on construction sites abroad and in Ukraine. He traveled almost the whole world. With colleagues, he was involved in building objects in Kharkiv, Luhansk region, and Crimea. He participated in the ATO in Donbas. During the full-scale war, Maksym fought for his native country in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a gunner in the 28th separate mechanized brigade named after the Knights of the Winter March. "Maksym was very kind, gentle, and brave. At 19, he went to defend Ukraine, was in the ATO. He was also a peacekeeper in the Congo. He always worried about his loved ones first, and then about himself. He was not afraid of anything. He wanted to get married after the war, dreamed of a son. But he . Only pain is left. No matter how much time passes, the pain does not subside," said Lydia, the deceased's fiancée. The defender was buried in his native village. Maksym left behind his mother and beloved girlfriend. Posthumously, senior soldier Maksym Simdianov was awarded the Order of Courage, III degree.
