- Soldier Maksym Kravchuk was killed on August 31, 2022 in a hospital in Dnipro. Two days earlier, he sustained multiple shrapnel wounds while carrying out a combat mission in the area of the village of Zaitseve in the Donetsk region. The warrior was 43 years old. Maksym was born in Dnipro. He studied at secondary school No. 16. In 2000, he graduated from the Prydniprovska State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture, obtaining a degree in management. In 2013, he received a law degree from the Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs. He served in the military. For over 10 years, he served in the tax police, holding the rank of lieutenant colonel. In recent years, together with partners, he founded a company for processing secondary raw materials. He loved football, fishing and hunting. He was interested in the history of Ukraine and loved Ukrainian folk songs. During the full-scale war, in early March 2022, Maksym joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of driver in the 53rd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Volodymyr Monomakh. "Maksym was an extraordinary person, freedom-loving, purposeful, kind and sincere, he loved life very much. It seems to me that he understood any issue. He was a person who knew how to lead, could make decisions and take responsibility. His subordinates respected and loved him wherever he worked. For our family, Max was the Universe that protected us, cared for us and loved us endlessly, as we loved him. He was always the strongest support, teacher and mentor for me and our daughters, a pillar for our parents," said the warrior's wife Iryna. The defender was buried in the Alley of Heroes in the town of Pidhorodne, Dnipropetrovsk region. Maksym is survived by his parents, wife and three daughters.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
