- Sailor Maksym Kulakov (call sign Nemo) was killed on November 9, 2022, while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Vodiane in the Donetsk region. The defender was 32 years old. Maksym was born and lived in Kharkiv. He graduated from Kharkiv City Gymnasium No. 163. Then he obtained a degree in management from the Kharkiv National Academy of Municipal Economy. He worked as a logistician at the Tour Service ATT travel company, which specialized in transportation. In his free time, he engaged in self-development and always strived to learn something new. During the full-scale war, on April 1, 2022, the man joined the ranks of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 501st separate battalion of the Marine Corps. He was a grenade launcher. Together with his comrades-in-arms, he defended the hot areas of the front. "A very sociable, sincere, fair, sociable person with a good sense of humor, always ready to help," said the wife of the deceased Inna. "Maksym Kulakov, my first student. I taught him from the age of 6, and then we were good friends with his parents. He was killed defending our land from the invaders. His unit worked in the Donetsk direction, in his own words, in the very hell. Very talented. And he lived in Israel. But he chose the path of defending Ukraine. Maksym is now our guardian angel. Like many of our other men and women. Memory Eternal!" wrote Tetiana Spirina-Smetana. The marine was buried in cemetery No. 18 in his native Kharkiv. Maksym is survived by his mother, wife, daughter, other relatives, friends, and comrades-in-arms.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
