- 28-year-old soldier Maksym Pidlypnyi (call sign Lipa) was killed on October 6, 2023 near the settlement of Nevelske in the Donetsk region. At night, when the fighters were leaving their positions, he returned for his comrades, then an enemy drone spotted them and dropped a shell. The injuries were incompatible with life. Maksym was from the village of Kozhanka in the Vinnytsia region. Later, the family moved to the neighboring village of Chernyavka, where the boy finished 9 grades of the local school. He then studied at the Pogrebische Vocational School No. 42 and obtained the qualifications of an electrician for the maintenance of electrical installations, an electric and gas welder, and a driver of motor vehicles. In civilian life, he worked in a construction company in Vinnytsia. Since the beginning of the full-scale war, the man wanted to join the ranks of the defenders, but because his father was drafted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine, he remained with his mother. However, on June 28, 2023, Maksym finally took up the defense of the Motherland. He underwent training and joined the ranks of the 59th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Yakov Handziuk. He held the position of a rifleman - a grenade launcher assistant and was sent to the combat positions of the Donetsk region. "Maksym was extremely kind, sincere, reliable, and always smiling. He never sat idle, he was very hardworking. He could never leave anyone in trouble, he always helped," said the deceased's beloved Nina Sych. The soldier was buried in the village of Chernyavka in the Vinnytsia region. Maksym is survived by his parents, brother, and fiancée.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
