Maksym E. Burda (Fotohraf)

Burda Maksym Eduardovych was born on January 30, 1997, in the city of Kovel, Volyn region. He studied at secondary schools No. 3 and No. 8 in Kovel. In 2019, he graduated from the Faculty of Humanities of the National University of Ostroh Academy with a master's degree in journalism. In 2017-2018, he was a design specialist at an advertising agency in Shepetivka. He worked as a wedding photographer. He was a co-founder of the youth hub "Vatra - the right space", a member of the Youth Council of the Kovel City Council and the "National Corps" party. Since 2019, he has been in the Territorial Defense Forces. He helped volunteers - he studied tactical medicine and the rules of combat. He had a Telegram channel "Military photographer", where he published military photos from the official pages of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. After the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, he served in the Territorial Defense Forces, and later became a fighter in the grenade launcher section of the fire support platoon of the 2nd assault company of the 2nd assault battalion of the 3rd separate assault brigade. At the front, he combined aerial reconnaissance with photography. He was killed on January 26, 2023, near the city of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region. He was buried on February 2, 2023, on the Alley of Heroes in his hometown. His parents and beloved one remain.
