- Junior Sergeant Maksym Kupetskyi (call sign Max Max) fought his last battle on July 4, 2024, in the area of Chasiv Yar in the Donetsk region. He received fatal injuries during enemy artillery shelling. The defender was 44 years old. Maksym was born in the village of Nova Skvarjava, Lviv region. After school, he graduated from Vocational School No. 60 in Rawa-Ruska and obtained the profession of a tractor-machine operator and driver. Since 2000, he lived in Lviv. In civilian life, he worked in the trade sector, holding the position of a goods packager. During the full-scale invasion, the man joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and went to defend his homeland. He fought as part of the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Daniel. He was the commander of a rifle squad. "My dad was very kind, sincere, loving, hardworking, and always ready to help. He loved to cook. Even during the war, when he came back from the position, he cooked for his comrades-in-arms," said the deceased's daughter Nadia. Maksym was buried in the Field of Honorable Burials at the Lychakiv Cemetery in Lviv. The defender is survived by his mother, brother, sister, two daughters, and a grandson.
