- Sailor Maksym Malimuk died on December 5, 2022, in the Mykolaiv hospital from severe concussion sustained in the Mykolaiv region. The defender was 40 years old. Maksym was from the city of Kramatorsk, Donetsk region. He graduated from the 11th grade of local school No. 24. After military service, he obtained the specialty of a design developer. He was an employee of the advertising agency "Chameleon" in his hometown. Later, he lived in Kyiv for some time, working at an advertising agency and as a cafe administrator. But then he returned to his hometown. He loved sports, engaged in swimming, and won first places in competitions. He was also passionate about chess. With the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, the man was mobilized into the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Maksym served in the 36th Separate Marines Brigade named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Bilynsky, holding the position of radio operator. "My son was a sincere, good-natured, honest, cheerful, cheerful, hardworking person. He always completed his affairs. He loved and respected his relatives, loved his Ukraine, loved the city where he was born. He was a patriot and defender of his state. He was proud to be born in Ukraine! From the second day of the war, he took up the defense of his Homeland. He dreamed of our victory, aspired to live, work and raise his daughter in a free and independent Ukraine," said the mother of the fallen Valentyna Sakhnova. The marine was buried in the Alley of Heroes of the Ivanivka cemetery near Kramatorsk. Maksym is survived by his mother and brother.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
