Maksym M. Zaichenko (Banni)

Senior soldier Maksym Zaichenko (call sign Bunny) died on September 11, 2023 in a hospital in Dnipro. The day before, he sustained serious injuries near the city of Kreminna in the Luhansk region. Maksym was 22 years old. He was born in the Kyiv region and lived in the city of Irpin. He received his education at the State Tax University. He worked at Oschadbank. In his free time, he loved to travel. He adored the mountains. During the full-scale invasion, Maksym joined the ranks of the 12th Special Purpose Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine "Azov". "I still can't believe he's gone... At the age of 22, he was an example for many, and I'm proud of my brother," wrote his cousin Oleksandra Kucherenko. Maksym was buried in the village of Struha in the Khmilnytskyi region. The defender left behind a mother and a younger sister.
