Maksym O. Bloshchytskyi (Kosmos)

Soldier Maksym Bloshchytskyi (call sign Kosmos) was killed on June 4, 2023, near the village of Rivnopil in the Donetsk region. While carrying out a combat mission, the defender received a fatal mine-explosive injury. He was 30 years old. Maksym was born in the village of Popilnia, Zhytomyr region. After school, he graduated from Zhytomyr Construction College No. 5, where he obtained the profession of a drywall installer. He lived and worked in the Zhytomyr region. He had many plans for life, but did not have time to realize them. During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man fought for the Motherland in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a gunner of the 31st separate mechanized brigade. He bravely and courageously carried out combat missions on the frontline. He was a faithful comrade and a reliable brother-in-arms. "Thank you, son, for the bright, positive moments in life, for your love, care, and support," wrote Oleksandr Bloshchytskyi. "Your son lived his life worthily, although unfortunately short, and gave it in the fight against the occupier for our freedom and peaceful sky. We will not forget and will not forgive," said the page of the territorial defense of the Popilnyanskaya community. The soldier was buried in his native village. At home, Maksym was awaited by his parents, Iryna and Oleksandr, and his brothers, Nazar and Oleksandr.
