- Soldier Maksym Denh was killed on April 13, 2023, defending the city of Bakhmut in Donetsk region from the occupants. In one of the fierce battles, the defender suffered a fatal mine-explosive injury. He was only 36 years old. Maksym was born in the city of Dnipro. He graduated from the Vilnohirsk Professional College with a specialty in "Maintenance and Repair of Metallurgical Equipment". For several years, he worked in his profession at a factory in Dnipro. Later, he got a job at a plumbing store. For some time, he was involved in the arrangement of roofs of multi-story buildings, then he worked for the private enterprise "Sanita". In recent years, before the invasion, he worked abroad. At the beginning of the full-scale war, on March 6, 2022, the man joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Initially, he served as a range finder scout in the 66th Separate Mechanized Brigade. On March 25, 2023, he was transferred to the position of a grenadier in the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade "Kholodnyi Yar". "Maksym was very brave, kind, and honest. He always had a lot of friends. He was the life of the company. Very cheerful, positive. He loved Ukraine very much. As a true patriot, he could not sit quietly at home when the Russian Federation launched a large-scale invasion of Ukraine. Without hesitation, he went to the military enlistment office, volunteered, and bravely defended his Homeland. He fulfilled his dream and got married on February 25, 2023. When he found out that he was going to Bakhmut, he said that he was very sorry for me, that I would remain a widow. Unfortunately, this is what happened..." - the widow of the deceased said. Maksym was buried in the city of Pidhorodne in the Dnipropetrovsk region, where he lived with his wife. At home, he was waited for by his mother Liudmyla Viktorivna and his wife Tetiana.
