- Born on May 22, 1986, in the village of Moshny, Cherkasy district, Cherkasy region. In 2003, he graduated with a gold medal from the general education school in the village of Moshny. Since 2003, he has been in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In 2007, he graduated from the Odessa Institute of Ground Forces. He served as the commander of the reconnaissance platoon of the 17th Separate Guards Tank Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A3283, Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region), then as the commander of the reconnaissance company of the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1302, the urban-type settlement of Cherkaské, Novomoskovsk district, Dnipropetrovsk region). Since July 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. Call sign "Artist." On January 18, 2015, a group of scouts led by Captain Presnyakov set out on two infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs) to assist another group that had fallen into an ambush. On the way to the battle site, in the area of the village of Pisky, Yasinuvatka district, Donetsk region, the scouts fell into an ambush. The first IFV was blown up by a mine and was fired upon with a hand-held anti-tank grenade launcher. During the battle, the driver-mechanic of one of the IFVs was wounded and trapped in the damaged vehicle. Captain Presnyakov rushed to save his comrade. During the shelling, the officer was killed while shielding the wounded driver-mechanic with his body. On January 21, 2015, he was buried in the cemetery of the village of Moshny, Cherkasy district. In May 2015, a memorial plaque was unveiled in the village of Moshny on the facade of the general education school (Savchenka Street, 39), where Maxim Presnyakov studied.
