Maksym S. Shendrykov

Shendrykov Maksym Serhiyovych was born on December 30, 1993 in the city of Nizhyn, Chernihiv region. He studied at Nizhyn Gymnasium No. 3 and Chernihiv Lyceum with enhanced military and physical training. In 2014, he graduated from the Ivan Kozhedub Kharkiv National University of the Air Force with a degree in "Helicopter Pilot". Since then, he served as part of the 12th separate brigade of army aviation. Participant of combat operations in the area of the Joint Forces Operation and the UN peacekeeping mission to stabilize the situation in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (2020-2021). During the full-scale Russian invasion, he defended the Ukrainian sky from Russian invaders. Participant of battles for Kyiv region, Chernihiv region and eastern Ukraine. He died on April 23, 2022 in the Donetsk region. He was buried on April 28, 2022 in his hometown. He left behind a wife and two children.
