- Junior Sergeant Maxim Bohdanov passed away on April 16, 2022, in a hospital in Dnipro. On March 8, the fighter sustained severe injuries in a battle with the occupiers near Volnovakha in Donetsk region. Doctors fought for his life for over a month, but his heart could not endure. He was 33 years old. Maxim was a resident of Varash, Rivne region. He stu at Lyceum No. 3 and later graduated from the Vocational and Technical School of the Rivne Nuclear Power Plant, earning the profession of a plumber. He then learned the profession of an electrician at the Sarny School. Since 2019, the man had been serving under contract in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He participated in the Joint Forces Operation as part of the 15th Separate Mountain Assault Battalion of the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade. He was the commander of a combat vehicle, an operator-gunner. With the start of the full-scale war, Maxim continued to defend his homeland from Russian occupiers alongside his comrades. In 2022, Junior Sergeant Maxim Bohdanov was nominated for the Order of Courage III degree. However, the award was presented to the fighter's mother in the summer. "Eternal and bright memory to this bright child, both on earth and in heaven. May the earth be like down and eternal peace. Strength and patience to the relatives, especially the mother, to endure the pain of losing their beloved child. Glory to Ukraine and glory to our Heroes, the defenders. Everything will be Ukraine. Hold on," wrote Maxim's fellow villager, Lyudmyla. The serviceman was buried in the village of Stara Rafalivka, Rivne region.
