Maksym V. Chudinovych (Chudik)

23-year-old Senior Sergeant Maksym Chudinovych (call sign Chudik) was killed on July 27, 2023, near the village of Robotyne in the Zaporizhia region. While carrying out a combat mission, he was wounded. During the evacuation, the enemy attacked the vehicle with a drone. And these injuries proved fatal for the warrior. Maksym was born and lived in Rivne. He studied at the local school No. 9 and the Cooperative College. He then entered the Lviv University of Trade and Economics. He got married and started a family. He spent his free time with his loved ones. Since 2019, he has been serving under contract in the National Guard of Ukraine. He participated in the Joint Forces Operation. In March 2023, he joined the 14th Operational Purpose Brigade "Chervona Kalyna" and continued to defend his country. He held the position of Chief Sergeant of the separate anti-tank battery. "My husband said he had to protect his girls, so he transferred to the combat unit without hesitation. His father fought in Bakhmut, and Maksym wanted to meet him there. He was against the Russian church and language," said Valentyna Chudinovych. The National Guard soldier was buried in the "Nove" cemetery in his hometown. Maksym is survived by his parents, wife, and daughter. Posthumously, he was awarded the title of "Honorary Citizen of the City of Rivne".
