Maksym V. Vitiuk

Born on August 13, 1988, in the city of Kakhovka, Kherson region. Studied at Kakhovka Gymnasium, then at Kakhovka Secondary School No. 1. Graduated from Kakhovka Secondary School No. 1. Worked at various enterprises in the city of Kakhovka and Kakhovka district. On July 15, 2015, mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Served in the 17th Separate Tank Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A3283, city of Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region). Since 2015, participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. Fought near the city of Avdiivka, Donetsk region. In May 2016, during a combat mission in the area of the city of Avdiivka, soldier Vityuk sustained a spinal injury. From May 5, 2016, he was treated in hospitals, first in Kharkiv, then in Kyiv. Doctors fought for the soldier's life, but their efforts proved futile. On June 25, 2016, soldier Vityuk died in a Kyiv hospital from injuries sustained in the anti-terrorist operation zone. On June 29, 2016, he was buried in the city cemetery of Kakhovka, Kherson region.
